A life changed by grace
Meet Pastor Tyrone Walker.
Pastor Walker shares his story to point others to the forgiveness and new life he found in Jesus Christ.
His testimony describes growing up amid gang activity in Chicago, moving to Minnesota, and spending much of his youth and early adulthood in and out of incarceration. During those years, he began to hope for a different future.
Samantha continued to share her faith in Jesus and the truth of the Bible with him. Her faithfulness and conversations about Christ challenged him to consider God’s love, forgiveness, and the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
His testimony
A new beginning in May 2012.
While in jail, Tyrone began to reflect on the gospel Samantha had shared with him. He describes realizing that, while he had sought loyalty and love from other people, Jesus had given His life for him.
In May 2012, he asked God to forgive his sins and save him. He recalls the peace that followed and a new desire to live for God. Today, Pastor Walker serves at Trenton Baptist Church, sharing that same message of hope.
